When You Need a Good Cry // Into The West

[Note: Insatiably long and sad post]

Lay down,

your sweet and weary head

Night has fallen

You have come to journey's end

Sleep now,

and dream of the ones who came before

They are calling,

from across the distant shore

Why do you weep?

What are these tears upon your face?

Soon you will see,

all of your fears will pass away

Safe in my arms,

 you're only sleeping

What can you see, on the horizon?

Why do the white gulls call?

 Across the sea,

a pale moon rises

The ships have come to carry you home

And all will turn to silver glass

A light on the water, all souls pass

Hope fades into the world of night

 Through shadows falling,

out of memory and time

Don't say we have come now to the end

White Shores are calling,

you and I will meet again

And you'll be here in my arms,

just sleeping

What can you see on the horizon?

Why do the white gulls call?

Across the sea,

a pale moon rises

The ships have come to carry you home

And all will turn to silver glass

A light on the water,

grey ships pass

Into the West.

[Note: This is the song in the credits of Return of the King]

...and some who die deserve life...

I would rather spend one lifetime with you... then face all the ages of this world alone ~Arwen

[Note: This is Fili talking about Kili]

when I walk... I walk with you... where I go... you're with me always...

I give my word, that only death will take me away from you~Fili to Kili

even death cannot separate us, because I will never leave your side~Kili

I never thought I'd see you again...

I almost made it home...

To die... would be an awfully big adventure.

Don't ever let go...

"But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer."

End? No, the journey doesn't end there. Death is just another path, one which we all must take. The grey rain curtain of the world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass. And then you see it: white shores, and beyond, a far green country, under a swift sunrise.

[Note: Only Codebearers go to the White Shores. Shadow go to the Black Shores {get it, white, black?}]

Why do the white gulls call?

  2. *sniffing more than DM* That was brilliant, Willow. Now I'm going to go hide and cry and cry and cry until I can't cry anymore.

//Must remind myself that Thorin/Fili/Kili live on in the Timeless Halls TOGETHER// ...still crying. :'(

But honestly I loved this post. It's so touching, especially the pictures of Fili and Kili.

  3. *excuse me while I go drown in my own tears* *tear* This was beautiful! So, I was going back through some of your old posts to make sure that I didn't miss and good ones...well, they're all great posts...anyways, I came across this one and I'm not sure if I should've read it. It gave me a whole good deal of feels. I am glad I read it though. I enjoyed it while I suffered. I'm sure only fangirls know what 'enjoying and suffering over the same thing' means. I drew a picture of well...a...certain scene from The Battle of Five Armies(I'm sure you probably know which one I'm talking about) *hint* *hint*;) Anyways, I wrote this quote, "Even death cannot separate us, because I will never leave your side," on the picture. Love the post<3
